Detailed Equipment Introduction
1. System Overview
This is a three-effect forced circulation evaporator designed for continuous evaporation and crystallization of sodium chloride (NaCl) and sodium nitrate (NaNO₃) solutions. The system maximizes energy efficiency by reusing vapor from previous effects to heat subsequent ones, significantly reducing steam consumption.
2. Key Components & Working Principle
Forced Circulation (FC) Design:
Uses a centrifugal pump to force liquid through heating tubes at high velocity, preventing scaling and improving heat transfer.
Suitable for high-salinity, scaling-prone, or corrosive solutions like NaCl & NaNO₃.
Three-Effect Configuration:
1st Effect: Fresh steam heats the solution, generating vapor.
2nd Effect: Vapor from the 1st effect heats the next chamber.
3rd Effect: Vapor from the 2nd effect drives further evaporation.
Energy Savings: Achieves ~70% steam reduction compared to single-effect systems.
Crystallization Process:
The concentrated solution is sent to a crystallizer (e.g., Oslo or DTB type) where supersaturation leads to crystal formation.
Centrifuge or filter separates crystals (NaCl/NaNO₃) from mother liquor.
3. Material Selection (TA2 Titanium)
TA2 (Titanium Grade 2):
Excellent corrosion resistance against chloride and nitrate ions.
High strength-to-weight ratio, suitable for high-temperature, high-salinity environments.
Used in heat exchangers, piping, and vessels to ensure long-term durability.
4. Technical Advantages
High Thermal Efficiency: Three-effect design minimizes energy costs.
Anti-Scaling & Anti-Corrosion: Forced circulation + TA2 material extends equipment life.
Automated Control: PLC system adjusts parameters (flow, temperature, pressure) for stable operation.
5. Typical Applications
Salt (NaCl) production from brine.
Sodium nitrate recovery in chemical/pharmaceutical industries.
Zero-liquid discharge (ZLD) wastewater treatment.
